Infant

In addition to all of the care and nurturing that takes place with our infants, the teachers stimulate infants’ senses to encourage their mental and physical development. Links to Learning’s Infant Program provides an ideal environment in which your child will learn to grasp toys, vocalize sounds, recognize pictures of familiar objects and acquire a variety of other skills.

Teachers work with each child in a series of stimulating activities that incorporate the natural routines of feeding and play. The teacher reinforces the babies’ development without disrupting their daily schedule.

Language and Literacy

Your child is learning to communicate with sounds and facial expressions. Teachers will encourage language development through modeling and constant communication.

Wellness

Teachers will plan activities that will help your child develop their fine motor skills and mobility.

Mathematics

Your child will experiment to understand relationships such as actions and reactions. For example, dropping a spoon repeatedly or shaking a rattle will make noise.

Music

Your child will learn to create and respond to sound and will be exposed to pleasant music throughout the day.

The World and Me

Through the first year of life, your child is beginning to develop a sense of self. Teachers provide nurturing, stimulating environments to encourage this development.

Art

Your child will be exposed to an ever-changing array of stimulating colors, shapes and textures. When appropriate, teachers will help him or her explore the texture of paint and use large crayons.
